A Peek at Progress

Peggy & I are back and work and everything is going well with the remodeling.  I sure wish we could give tours during enrollment but blog pictures will have to suffice to keep the workers work, work, working!  On numerous occasions I've thought that my flip flops were probably not the best footwear for all that's going on at school!  Here are a few pictures for you.  I'm loving the splashes of color we're starting to see!

Front Office/Reception Area

Principal's Office - I LOVE the windows!

Cabinets are here!  You'll see them in the gym at enrollment.

QUEST Room - former front office & nurse's room.

Ready for LOCKERS!
Hey, Kids!  I bet you are super excited about this!

Classroom Walls are Going Up!

Just a few days after my "sneak peek" from the outside, I got in to see more!
Now you'll have a little more insight to what's happening...
Our classroom teachers will be super excited to see progress in their rooms!
When Scarborough was built, they had an "open classroom" concept.
You can picture what it used to look like without our temporary doors.
WIDE openings to classrooms!

To build new walls, they start by putting up these metal studs on the left.
Then they'll put sheetrock over the studs.
The sheetrock is in a big pile on the right.
(Parents - I'm writing this for our kids knowledge. I'm sure you already know this!)

Here's what the wall looks like now.  More "finishing touches" to come.

You can see how they made the framework for the new door entries.
This is the second grade area.

Peeking in!

I didn't have my keycard with me when I stopped by midweek so I had to peek in to see how things were going!  So exciting to see everything coming together.
